How it works

To a roach, the gel smells like food: sugar, protein and a little onion. To you, it barely smells. The scent only carries about a metre, so it draws the roaches already living nearby, not new ones from outside.

Day 1: They find the gel and eat.
Day 2–5: They walk back to the nest and pass the bait to the others. Most die in there, not on your floor.
Day 5–10: You see fewer and fewer. That includes the ones you never saw.

Spray makes them run into the walls. Bait gets carried in.

How much do I need?

1 pack (3 syringes): a small or medium kitchen
2 packs (6 syringes): 2 rooms
3 packs (9 syringes): 3 rooms

Had roaches for a long time, see a lot of them, or live in a big home? Go with 3 packs.

Squeeze a coin-sized bit of gel into each spot where they hide. Top it up when it’s gone.

Roaches breed fast. A new wave often shows up 3–6 months later, so put fresh gel down early, before it grows into a big nest. In an apartment, roaches walk over from next door. Squeeze fresh gel every 2–3 months to catch them early.

Which roaches it works on

Works on all 6 common roaches. Any roach that eats it carries it home.

  • German: small and light brown, two dark stripes behind the head. The one in most apartments and kitchens.
  • American: big and reddish-brown. Basements, drains, laundry rooms.
  • Oriental: dark, almost black. Damp spots like under the sink and floor drains.
  • Brown-banded: small, with light bands across the back. Hides up high: cabinets, closets, behind electronics.
  • Smokybrown: big, shiny and dark brown. Warm, damp spots like attics and around windows.
  • Australian: big and reddish-brown, with yellow edges near the head. Warm, humid spots and around plants.

Cockroach Gel Bait - 3 Syringes

For people who already tried the spray

Sprays scatter roaches. This bait gets carried home.

You sprayed. They ran, then came back a week later. This gel works the other way round: roaches treat it as food, eat it, and walk it back into the nest.

I had a few roaches in my apartment that just wouldn’t go away. I’d tried a couple of insecticides but nothing really killed them. This gel actually worked! Easy to use, just follow the instructions. Really happy with it.

The management company used this bait gel at a building I lived in near the beach strip, where roaches had been an issue, and it worked wonders. When I moved into my current place, the neighbouring units weren’t kept up very well, so I started using it myself and I’m honestly impressed. About a week after two applications, the roaches come out looking like they had a night on the town, stumbling around. The others carry it back to the rest. Now I reapply every 2–6 months, depending on how wet the weather is and all the move-ins, move-outs and flooding that bring the little critters in.

  • Tyler K. - Winnipeg, MB

I’d tried the big brands and the sprays from the hardware store and saw no results. The roaches ate those baits like candy and kept coming back. This gel is different. It’s easy to use, there’s no strong odour, and I’ve seen a big drop in the number of roaches in a pretty short time.

I moved into a place with a pretty bad infestation and this got rid of them in no time. They’re really drawn to it, they eat it and die. It works fast and you don’t need much, just a small dab in the cracks and near where they come in. They take it back to the nest and the others end up eating it too. Best thing I’ve used for roaches. I’ll definitely buy it again.

See one on the counter? There are hundreds behind the fridge.

The one you saw went back to a nest you'll never see — behind the fridge, under the stove, inside a wall. Spray only reaches the one in front of you. The nest keeps sending more.

What happens next

Squeeze, then wait. The bait does the walking.

A roach eats the gel dot, walks back under the cabinet, then dead roaches lie inside the gap
  1. Day 1

    They find it and eat.

The bait smells like food to a roach (sugar, protein, a bit of onion) and barely smells to you. The scent only carries about a metre, so it draws the roaches already living nearby — not the whole street.

  2. Day 2–5

    They carry it home.

A fed roach doesn't die on the spot. It walks back to the nest and passes the bait on through contact and droppings. Most of them die in there — not on your kitchen floor.

  3. Day 5–10

    The nest is gone.

Including the ones you never saw. That's why you squeeze, then wait — instead of spraying every week.

No spray cloud. No pulling the fridge out.

What's in the gel

Food first. To a roach the gel reads like a meal, so they eat it instead of walking past. To you it barely smells, and a bit the size of a coin is enough.

Living with it

Pet safe when used as directedNo spray fumes, no aerosolCracks and edges only — not on counters

Not a repellent. An attractant: the mild scent draws them in instead of scaring them off.

How to use it

  • Squeeze a coin-sized bit of gel into each hiding spot.
  • Cracks and edges only — never on counters or food-prep surfaces.
  • The gel goes in cracks kids and pets can’t reach. Store it away like any pest product. Pet safe when used as directed.
  • Top it up when it's gone. Squeeze fresh gel every 2–3 months to stop the next wave.

Straight answers

You askedWon't bait bring more roaches in?

VelloricaNo. The gel is low-odour; the scent reaches the roaches already around your kitchen, not new ones. They eat, go home, and take the nest down with them.

You askedThey shrug off Raid. Why would this work?

VelloricaSpray has to hit them. This doesn't. They come to it and eat it like food, so the ones that dodge spray still get it.

You askedIs it safe around my dog and kids?

VelloricaPet safe when used as directed. The gel goes into cracks and edges kids and pets can’t reach, and there’s no spray cloud. Store the syringe away like any pest product.

More questions

My neighbours have them too. Is it pointless?
Roaches carry the bait back through the shared wall to the nest they came from. You protect your unit and hit the source at the same time.
My landlord already sprays. Why add this?
Spray visits come and go. The bait keeps working between them — and reaches the nest behind the wall.
Will they come back?
Roaches breed fast. A new wave often shows up 3–6 months later, so put fresh gel down early, before it grows into a big nest. In an apartment, more walk over from next door. Squeeze fresh gel every 2–3 months to catch them early.
Will I find dead roaches everywhere?
Most die inside the nest. You'll see fewer and fewer over 5–10 days, not a pile on the floor. Not dying? Full refund within 90 days.
Which roaches does it work on?
All 6 common ones: German (the one in most apartments), American, Oriental, Brown-banded, Smokybrown and Australian. Any roach that eats it carries it home.
Is this sold on Amazon?
No. We sell it only here, so every order is covered by our 90-day refund and support.
How many packs do I need?
One pack (3 syringes) covers a small or medium kitchen. Two packs for 2 rooms, three packs for 3 rooms. Had roaches for a long time, see a lot of them, or live in a big home? Get 3 packs.
