least expensive way to get into using a nibbler. I looked at one even that makita makes that costs around 5-600 dollars and will do 10 gauge and others but the idea of a dedicated power source kind of puts the nibbler out of the budget of a lot of people. I was look at the ones like this that use your own drill to power it and it came back to replacement parts. This kit actually gives you three head and the nibbling shafts as well. It worked like a charm. I need to cut into the bed of my 1973 ford truck and it just ate that truck bed up. Very nice cutting edges as well.

This takes getting use to. It cuts not like your typical jig saw. It's smoother and glides smoothly so you can loose control if you don't go slow. It cuts effortlessly. Unless your typical saw, the cuts are wider about 3/16 so you have to take that in consideration. I found that out when I made my cut. They don't tell you that on the videos. Much easier than snippers.

I needed to cut a rectangular opening in a sheet metal wall panel in order to reroute an external mail slot into the house. Since the sheet metal was covered with drywall, I didn’t have much room to work with so I purchased the nibbler. To use the tool properly, I also purchased an inexpensive 3000 rpm corded drill. The Nibbler was pretty intuitive and easy to use and made short work of the sheet metal. All in all, the tool did the job at a reasonable price.

I had to cut 2 ft X 2 ft window openings in several steel doors, and decided to try one of these rather than fighting it with a saber saw. I expected the foam core to present problems, but after quickly cutting through 48 feet of steel in the doors it was still cutting great. Because of the complaints many have had about the sharp little shavings produced by the tool, I used a shop vac to collect them as I cut. I got my money's worth just on this project, and it's still performing like new, so I am delighted with the purchase and looking for other things to use it on. Quieter than a saber saw and no bent, broken, or worn out blades. Definitely recommend this if you have sheet metal work which doesn't lend itself to the tools you already have in hand.

Outstanding quality for the price. I have only used it for a few minutes so durability is still to be seen, but the manufacturing and design quality are incredible for this price point. Even the metal box it came in is very nice, clearly identified and sturdy, I'm usually not a fan of tools coming in boxes I don't plan to keep the tool in, but this one is a keeper.

This does a very good job of cutting thin metal. I found it easier to use by putting the head in a vice and manipulating the material than trying to move the drill and cutter together to cut straight lines. The cut is narrow, and only small slices are taken off with each cut which leaves a nice enough finish for some jobs and when you need a clean cut, only minor filing is required. This is my second tool, the first went walking!

I will not say it is for someone that would use a nibbler on a daily basis. There are a few times, like maybe once a year or so, that I need a tool like this. Have made do with what I had and it was more work than needed. Today I got my nibbler for this years project and it worked perfectly. Very happy with the tools performance and it made my project go so smoothly and fast. Now I am thinking I might have to use thin metal for more of my projects based on how well this worked.

I purchased this for cutting some steel siding {barn steel} . Found out pretty quick that flat surfaces are easy to work with. Ribs cut at 90 degree are going to manageable but your going to have to work for it. Cutting through ribs on a angle forget about it. The head doesn't lend it self to that angles over ribs cut. With a little practice you can get some good lines and no burs like the ones you get from tin snips. I also used a 3/8" cordless impact and it worked even better than the drill did.
