Squirrels Trouble

Feed The Birds, Not The Squirrels! Keeps squirrels on the ground and away from your bird feeder with Squirrels Trouble. Its unique spring mechanism deters them from gaining access to your bird feeders or birdhouses.

Main Features

  • Automatically Squirrel-Proof: When a squirrel tries to climb the pole to eat the bird feed, the spring ring is designed to start extending under the weight of a squirrel to make the squirrel slide off the pole, while the spring action frightens it away without harm!

  • No Extra Adjustment Settings: The Squirrels Trouble is an individually spring-loaded protection device that never needs adjusting, just attach the spring at the top of the support pole-it is ready to go straight to bounce the squirrel away. Not worrying about squirrels and other pests anymore!

  • Long-range Elasticity: Squirrels Trouble is a spring design, with high-elasticity to extend to enough length and keep a safe distance between bird feed and squirrels, which allows the birds to eat while preventing squirrels from getting a meal, providing a safe place for the birds.
  • This product does not cause harm to animals.

Specifications

Style A:

  • Material: Metal
  • Product Weight: 35g
  • Size: OD 66mm, height 69mm

Style B:

  • Appropriate Design – in perfect 14-18 inch diameter that is needed for aggressive squirrels. Anything smaller than 14-18 inches and the large squirrels can stretch and reach around to defeat the squirrel baffle guard. Squirrels cannot climb the pole any longer to get to the bird seed. Flying squirrels will also fly to the ground if they try to jump from trees as the wobble feature will force them to slip off the baffle.

  • Proper Installation – Squirrels can jump between 4 to 4½ feet vertically, so the squirrel baffles should be a minimum of 5 feet from the ground to protect the bird feeder. The 14-18 inch wrap around squirrel baffle has a take apart design and can quickly attach to existing bird feeder poles or shepherd hooks. Additional pieces that will hold the cover are tapped to the bottom of the unit.
  • 14-inch – finished product diameter 35cm
  • 18 inch – finished product diameter 45cm

Package Include:

  • 1 x Squirrels Trouble

We were at the end of our patience with the squirrels who were cleaning out our bird feeders on a daily basis. I saw that a neighbor had a baffle so I figured we could give it a try. Wow, with all the elaborate methods being sold to slow down the squirrels, this low-tech device is the BEST. We leave a little extra food on the ground for the squirrels, but are getting to our primary guests, the birds. Don't have to fill the feeder every day now.

After years of epic battles, trying everything under the sun, this simple bent sheet of metal worked. Truly, I had little confidence. Our squirrels are university, PhD grade geniuses that show no care or mercy. Yet, since installing these on our feeders, we haven't spotted one single squirrel on our feeders the entire summer!!!

And, oh, how I've enjoyed watching their frustration and grief. For the first month or so, they would congregate at the bottom, looking up at the prize, trying to find a loophole, relegated to the scraps dropped by the birds. By the second month, they must have given up and moved on to the neighbors.

    Happy birds, no more squirrels!

This works great... I had to move my feeder once as it was too close to a tree.. the squirrels could jump to it.. After I moved it , they could not get to the feed... You do have to make sure it's high enough on the pole so they can't jump up from the ground.. ( I moved it 9 ft. from anything the squirrels could use as a launching pad... also, placed it 4ft up on the pole, so they couldn't jump from the ground.. ) Squirrels can't get around it to get to feed. You can see the there squirrels around the bottom..

This thing really works. It was getting annoying watching those stupid squirrels eat all our seed. Now it’s kind of entertaining watching them try every single day to get to the birdfeeder. Just be sure not to place the feeder close to a tree or another element from which they could jump and reach the feeder. I highly recommend.

The squirrel is the bane of bird feeders existence.....the dirty little critters are always trying to get your birds food.....this simple device does the trick. I have sat here and watched them try and fail.....then sit there and think about it and try again....and fail.

This is the second baffle I bought for the new bird feeder pole. They do the job of preventing the squirrels from getting up the pole and into the seeds. Just be sure and put it up high and close to the feeders otherwise, the squirrels will just use it as a step stool to get to the feeder. I installed the first one too low and looked out one morning to see a squirrel hanging upside down from the feeder having a ball. Moved the baffle higher up on the pole and haven't had a problem for four years with either feeder.

You must permit these to pivot or float so when squirrels jump on them they slide off. I used a hose clamp to hold a ring to the pole.

I have tried everything to keep the squirrels off of my feeders. When I came across this, I was skeptical at first because nothing else has worked. I can see the feeders from my office window and will see the squirrels climb the pole, look at it for a few seconds and then change their mind and go back down. I have not had one squirrel get to the food since putting this on. Since getting this, I have saved so much money in bird seed and the squirrels still get to eat what the birds drop on the ground. It's a win for all!

This works as advertised. Squirrels are smart and so if they can't go up the pole they will look for something that they can jump from to reach the feeder. You must keep it a safe distance from trees or other structures to make your feeder 100% safe.

It’s great. Squirrels were eating all the bird feed, not that we have anything against squirrels, but they’re just as happy eating the shells/remnants the fall to the ground. It’s kind of funny to watch the baffle baffle the squirrels. They can not get past it up to the feeder.
