The batteries recharge well with direct sunlight but depending upon animal traffic, the unit is likely to drain of power before it can be recharged sufficiently to operate.

But, as they grow, I bet they leave too. The noise emitted is unpleasant. And I hear it when I mow the lawn. So be sure to turn it off when doing yard work. It really works well!

   We purchased this Animal Repellent hoping to keep rabbits out of our front yard and to help our grass out. We have been after a solution for a long time and so far this seems to be the winner. I would highly recommend this product if you have animals and rodents eating up your grass or doing their business in your yard. I really like that it has different settings for different types of frequencies depending on what animal/rodent you are trying to keep away. Having rechargeable solar powered batteries is a nice plus. We have tried various sprays, chemicals, etc...on the grass and none of that lasted very long. This solution seems to have solved my issue ;). Cheers!
