I spent many years using a manual typewriter.it. The QWERTYWRITER now gives me the best of both worlds with a typewriter and a computer integrated. I use an old Windows 10 computer which started life as a Windows 7, with Office 365 connected via HDMI to a 24 inch monitor and the QWERTYWRITER USB connected to the computer. Super build quality. Heavy duty materials, which help it sit solidly on a desk. Not quite a true old school "typewriter," feel, but pretty close in being electro-mechanical, versus a totally mechanical device. Keys are not tiered like a typewriter, so wrist angle is less arched. I use the wired USB versus the blue-tooth, too many competing devices. Love the notch built into the device that lets me put my iPad Pro 12.5" device securely into the keyboard.

As a professional writer, I wanted the romance of an old school typewriter with the productive advantage for editing of a modern computer. Qwerkywriter keyboard provides this experience, especially when used with my Samsung S6 tablet. I also use it as my go-to keyboard for my Apple MacBook Pro computer. There’s nothing else out there like it! I bought three other less expensive “fakes” before purchasing this from reputable manufacturers but Qwerkywriter is the best out there if you’re looking for retro modern feel and functionality. If you write for a living or simply want the best, get a Qwerkywriter!

My job has mandated that we all work from home. It's been a blessing (yay not traveling to the office) and a curse (stuck with my tiny laptop for work). That's where the qwertywriter comes in. I'm able to effectively work from home by using a stand-alone keyboard, which has literally been my salvation right now.

The retro styling is gorgeous--it's a work of art all on its own, and can elevate your workspace in the most exquisite way. Highly recommended for anyone who is looking for an ancillary keyboard for home or work.

The most useful thing I learned in high school was how to type. For most of the years since then my only experience with typing was with a large variety of computer keyboards. While many of those "worked just fine", none of them brought back the feel, the nostalgia... and just plain fun of typing. I have been a writer for a good many years, but this keyboard is the first that has actually inspired me. I'm guessing that sounds silly, but we all have our favorites, we all have those things in our lives that truly make a difference. As I type this review using the Qwerkywriter keyboard I couldn't be happier with this purchase.

I rarely splurge and spend what I think is more money than necessary on anything for myself. Usually it's for the wife or kids... But God am I had I bought this keyboard. Such high quality. Ease of use is unreal. Bluetooth hookup is easier than any of my other Bluetooth items, and it's so great to type on. The layout and spacing will take some getting used to, but I look forward to that! Would've given 6 stars if I could have. Thanks for a great product.

It took me two years to make the decision to buy this ridiculous keyboard and now I’m mad at myself for not doing it sooner. It’s a solid piece of machinery and feels great typing on. The price tag is a lil heftier than other mechanical keyboard options but it makes up for it by being the cafe racer of keyboards

I have a BA in Philosoophy, and prior to that I was in both the funeral industry and law enforcement. Add to that the fact that I LOVE to write and got quite a bit of practice at it in college, I've tried lots of keyboards. Then I discovered typewriters sounds for your keyboard, loved that, THEN I found this! Yes, it's expensive, but it gives you everything an old manual typewriter would (and what writer doesn't love those gems) with today's technology. When I sell my current novel, I'm sending a case of gratis copies to HDD and ordering a full-on Charcoal Underwood Universal - of perhaps something more extravagant made of exotic hardwood. Qwerkywriter hit a home run on this one!
