   My apartment is railroad style, which basically means a bunch of rooms that lead to the next one. our main air conditioner is in the bedroom, which means the kitchen at the other end gets no cooling. this AC is perfect to use in the kitchen when I'm cooking and the room gets especially hot. it works by pushing air through cold water, so while it doesn't actively expel hot air like a window AC, it cools down the room very nicely.

Living with a pet desert lizard, my small studio definitely warms up because of the heat lamps so I bought this to keep my boyfriend and me cool to sleep better and works much better than a fan. The only downside is that naturally the water runs out after I’d say a few short hours so if you plan to use frequently you’ll want too keep a jug of filtered water nearby constantly. Otherwise it fits our needs great and I love that it’s portable!

   During recent heat wave, placed a few ice cubes in top and added cool water. Placed the unit on my desk while I worked in the afternoon, turned it on, and it provide very cool air for the next few hours. When pouring in water, just fill the top area. Don't refer to the guide on the side. I would set in sink to drain. Be sure to do that every few hours if running this unit a lot.

   I like this fan, it boasts a 5000mah battery life, and lasts a couple of hours off the charger. There're two different buttons, one that controls the fan speed, and one that controls the mist speed/density. I like the lowest settings for both in combination. I'll typically fill the water line up to max and put some ice cubes on top of it to keep the water topped off and to keep cool water blowing in my direction. It comes with two additional filters for the water, I've been using this cooler for about a week and I haven't had to replace the filter yet but I definitely think it was a nice inclusion. It's also easy to drain and comes with clear instructions on it operates. If you're looking for something that doesn't use a lot of power and can be moved around easily, This is it. I like having it on my desk as well as with me when I'm at work.
