   Best purchase I've made this summer. Keeps my personal space cool when sitting at desk. I sit in part of house that gets hot in summer and puts a chill in my space and keeps me cool. Works great for "hot flashes" as well! I keep the filter clean by immersing in vinegar/water solution every 3 or 4 days and rinse. I bought another filter so I had ability to always have a filter available when cleaning and freezing the other.

So little, but when I used it it was great so far, the real test will be when the Texas heat is 100+ and this is in a room that was the garage remodeled into a bedroom. I bought it for my husband since he works for home and we don't have AC - it gets really hot during the summers, so it's been perfect to have on his desk while he's working. I read that it's cooler with ice cubes and I've definately noticed that. Perfect to place on our nightstand at night as well since our bedroom doesn't get any cross breeze. Thinking of getting one for myself - works great but you have to be close by to it and have the mister on to feel the cool area. Not intended for large spaces, but works great in our bedroom and office area.

   I was not too impressed at first - it does not really make super cold air, even with the ice cubes but it DOES make very cool air. I wake up hot in the mornings and I am very impressed at how turning this on, even at a low setting, cools me down so fast. Just a few minutes. It does not make a mess. It does not produce droplets that get the furniture wet. It runs a good while on just one fill. Some days I pick it up and put it down on my desk for a little cooling and having it be cordless (when you want carry it around) is so very, very convenient. It is super quiet and the knob turns from full blow to just a whisper. No pre-set speeds so fully controllable. On one hand I thought it was too expensive but now that I find I can cool down in just a few minutes without turning the AC down and cooling several thousand square feet... well, it's become a favorite thing. And it's cute!
