   I had been using a window ac for cooling purpose until last summer. But in most cases at night since the temperature outside gradually gets cooler, I felt that an ac with operation until falling asleep can get get the job done with windows open. This mini ac is just made for the purpose. Top of the ac contains a water storage which is big enough to add a few cubes of ice with about 300-350 ml of water and as the ac operates it blows cold air. Placing the ac in the bed side table gives the cool environment perfect for falling asleep. I run this ac a 1-1.5 hours before going to bed, which maintains some cool environment in room and the ac can run more 2-3 hours depending upon the fan speed you use.

   Originally seen it at Wal-Mart. Decided to give it a try. I stay in a small room in my house and it seems to be hotter than the rest of the house despite what I keep the air on. This is perfect for those situations. I personally freeze the filter only sometimes and put a glass of water in the fridge which I refill when I fill the arctic. I then add some ice to the arctic and the cold bottle of water. My room stays around 2-5 degrees cooler when the door is shut. It's not for heavy duty jobs but it will work. Just get a little creative. Dont just use lukewarm tap water.

   I am going through menopause so I get hot flashes I'd love this thing I did what it said I put the water in it and I chilled the filter in the freezer and it's kept me really cool during the hot flashes especially at night on my bedside table I would put extra ice cubes in where the water goes and it would keep me cool all night long next summer I'm probably going to buy me a couple of more that way I have some beside me in the living room not just in my bedroom a lot cheaper than air conditioner's and worked just as well they have a very powerful fan which keeps you cool so if you're looking for a little relief from your hot flashes ladies give this thing a try or just if you're in a hot office you will not be sorry

   Sitting here at the computer being hot wasn't fun and I didn't see the need to adjust the a/c when I was only going to be home for a short time so I ordered one of these units. It works just great! I can turn it on as easily as a fan, plus adding water and a small piece of ice that I froze in small refrigerator dishes in advance. I keep a bag of the ice slivers on hand and it really does a nice job of blowing cold air right on me. If they go on sale, I'll buy a couple more to give to friends!

   I'm with the other reviewer that said bad reviews need to stop. I was in bad shape 2 years ago living with family that didn't like to run the AC and we live in AZ plus I'm in that age of hormone imbalance. I was so excited to see this and then read the reviews and continued suffering. Fast forward to 2020 and my AC went out. I have a mini dauchsund and it is really hard on her. I immediately said I don't want to be in this spot ever again I have to buy something. Again I am back looking at these reviews but this time focused on the good ones and thought I will return if I don't like it. To be clear my AC was fixed the next day but I decided to run it a little less cold so that it don't freeze up on me or go out again. I have it at 78 and my room has a lot of windows so it's either hot or cold and 78 is sometimes warm to me especially at night. Well around 3 pm I froze my filter and added ice and water to it. I wouldn't call it freezing but definitely a very cool breeze.
