It works in my bed so that I do not have to worry about her rolling off the bed or me rolling on to her. The sides of the little bed are soft and high enough to keep her safe but not too high to block air flow to her. This little bed keeps her snuggled up like she is being held I think that is why she sleeps so much better. I also like that I can pick up and take it in any room we are in for her to nap. Its washable too.
