   We've been looking for something to carry our 2 year old on big field trips (theme parks, etc) and hiking. It took some convincing for him to get on but once he did, he loves it. I love how easy it is to get on and off and it feels pretty solid once he's on board. The weight feels distributed well over my shoulders and doesn't hit the lower back too bad (It's nothing compared to even some front baby carriers that kill your back).

   We bought this so we could hike at a national park over the weekend. We wanted to go on a medium difficulty hike but there is no way our 2 1/2 (30lb-35lb) year old would have been able to go. Anyway did some browsing and landed on this piggy back rider. He got on easy, was comfortable, and I carried him with ease. We hiked for 2 hours and the only problem was he started to fall asleep, which you cannot do with this. That’s not a knock on the product, just expressing how comfortable it was. My wife helped load him so I never tried by myself but I would assume it’s a 2 person job.

   Took this on a 2 day overnight hike on the Great Wall of China. It was amazing for our active, heavy 4 year old who sometimes needed help up a steeper section or just a quick break from walking. Would definitely recommend when you do not want to use a backpack (or your kid is too big for one but still needs some help!). Easy to hop and off for him. I will be getting the hip support for next time as it does put all the weight on your shoulders and our son is HEAVY. It will be nice to have some weight distributed to hips. But this well made product gets all our thumbs up!

   To be transparent, I haven’t personally used this, since I’ve either been reigning in the older 3, or babywearing our youngest, but my husband asked for me to order this specific product after watching Shark Tank, because he’s a tall, big guy and my babywearing carriers don’t fit him well (mainly Lillebaby, my fav). But he is so enthusiastic about this product that he wishes he could sell them personally, since ANYTIME we’re in public SO many people ask him where to get one.
