    This donut maker is stainless steel on the bottom so you can place the gadget IN the hot oil. It does need a locking washer bc we kept having to tighten the thing on the bottom bc it came loose multiple times while making the donuts resulting in lop sided donuts but no biggie will grab one at the hardware store! Easy to take apart and clean.

    My boyfriend are trying out donut recipes... we have used this a few times when making them. Here's a few tips when you open the handle to dispense a donut hold for about 3 seconds then touch the donut gentily to the oil before releasing and pulling away this keeps the donut hole open and in a circular shape (they dont tell you that) and watch the temperature of your oil doesnt have to be too high to fry them and cook them all the way through... if it's too high you'll burn them before even cooking the middles.
