I am all about maintaining my cars aesthetics and whenever I get scratch or scrape, I like to fix it asap. I messed up my rim leaving a parking lot and needed like a black pen brush to go over the scraped area. The brush on this paint marker was just what I needed. I did about 3 coats of paint and my rim looked pretty clean. It was like if nothing had ever happened and I was able to keep on doing photoshoots.

For just spray paint, this stuff worked fantastic. I put quite a bit of time into it, and that probably helped the outcome. I started by dismounting all the tires and sandblasting all four rims. I then put on three coats of duplicolor self etching primer, waited overnight and hit it with 4 coats of black duplicolor paint and 3 coats of clear coat gloss. Waited for them to cure for a few days, mounted them and they looked beautiful.

I had four wheels that had varying amounts of oxidation after four winters of salt and snow. Like any paint project the devil is in the details and 90% of the work is preparation. After using 400 grit sandpaper to remove the oxidation as well as wheel finish, I continued to move up in fine grit stages until the wheel surface that was to be painted was smooth. After taping the wheels I used multiple coats of self etching primer followed by multiple coats of of wheel paint (silver) followed by several coats of clear coat for protection. The wheels were then allowed to cure for a week. Very happy with the finish. For these paint products you'll need to wear a ventilator and paint in a very well ventilated area.
