Works best in tandem with the Ped egg. We put fresh alkaline batteries in it and when I fired it up, it sounded impressively powerful but that power goes away quickly with even the slightest amount of pressure on the heel of the foot. Found that by starting off with the manual ped egg first to get the any hard or thicker callus off, then using this after that, provided a nice smooth finish. So my thought is that after you get through the rough stuff, this will be good to maintain. All in all I was a little disappointed in the purchase as I was hoping to just be able to use this instead of having to use the manual ped egg as well.

If there was a 6-star option, I would give this 6 stars! I have a huge problem with my heels building up calluses then they crack and bleed. No creams, lotions, scraping could resolve the problem or even lessen it. It would be painful to walk sometime. I LOVE LOVE PediSpin! It does what it says. Just don't press down too hard on it because it will momentarily pause, but let up the pressure and it resumes. They tested this product on a local news show as they do once per week for various gadgets and they passed this one! It's a keeper. I'm thinking of buying another one so if something happens to this, I'll have a backup. I have to use it almost daily.

I just got it at the checkout place of Michaels. I soaked my feet for a little while, because that's what they do at the spa pedi place, so I think it helps to soften the skin first. The rotating speed is very fast and I only need the low speed. You should only apply a very gentle pressure to the point where it does not affect the rotating then it will do the job. There is no need to press on it at all which will stop the motor. The result is immediate, as my heels are so soft and you can see all the tiny pieces it shred off. I recommend you do this over the bath tub so you dont have to clean up all the tiny pieces afterwards. Otherwise, it will be scattered around, mostly on your lap. I dont see the need to use it often, maybe once a week is good enough.

Never heard of this thing, didn't read any reviews on it. Went to my local CVS to by a callus remover and the PediSpin caught my eye. I NEVER buy anything that says as seen on TV but I figured I'd give it a shot. Took it home, read the reviews and I figured I'd try it anyway... YES it's very pressure sensitive but it WORKS!!! If it allowed any more pressure it would shave the skin off your body!!! I thought it worked wonderfully ! And my rough callused skin is gone! It had been bothering me since the summer and the pumice stone wasn't cutting it! Glad I bought this little thingy majigger! If you don't have a steady hand, this isn't for you!

so first the PediSpin...the directions say "soak feet for 15 minutes" "use light pressure and a circular motion...do not press too hard, AS A SAFETY FEATURE the PediSpin will stop if too much pressure is applied" Can you imagine how this thing might mangle your skin if it didn't stop? Come on...a little common sense, please! If you use it correctly and take your time, it works wonderfully. the heal socks are great...I previously used the full socks that come with lotion that I bought from a local store and although they do make your feet soft, I don't like having a sock on my foot all night, but these little gems that came as a bonus with the PediSpin only cover your heal so your toes can "breathe" and it makes those heals nice and soft.
When people compliment your feet and ask where you had them done, you know you have a great product.
Good luck and please, READ THE DIRECTIONS. :)

After reading so many horrible reviews,I bought this thinking that I could get my money back if I hated it, but actually it worked just like promised. I'm wondering if perhaps the people who are complaining got a badly manufactured product. Mine worked perfectly and never stopped when I touched it to my heel or foot. You really must have light touch with it, though. It took callouses off my feet that I had been fighting for years on a weekly basis. It's so easy to use and it works. At least that is my experience with it. I can't wait to try it on my husband's badly calloused feet.
I have never been one to write reviews, good or bad, for anything, but really felt that this one was getting a very bad rap on these review sites. So I wanted to share that one should give it a try. So, this is one user's experience that is NOT a bad one. I love mine. And if you don't absolutely LOVE the one you get, take it back and try another one and then, if still not satisfied, take that one back and get your money back. That's what money back guarantees are for. Good luck.

My mom bought this for me, and I've had a huge corn on my foot for two years, so I accepted her Pedispin and didn't force her to return it as I usually would. I considered using it for some time, and only tonight tried it out for the first time.
As another reviewer said, the stopping of the motor when one presses it against the skin too hard is a safety measure. In order for it to be effective, you must lightly brush it against the skin. The package claims that the skin will be collected in a separate reservoir, this is not the case. There is a small sand storm of dead skin when you use the PediSpin right. However, the lack of collection feature is by *far* made up for by the fact that this thing works great. I included pictures as they speak far better than I can. The only reason that there is anything left of the corn on my heel is that I was cautious with it. It too me about 15 minutes of patient Pedying to get my results. By tomorrow night, that sucker's gone. I highly recommend Earth 2 Skin's Heeltastic as a follow up ointment. Warning, you are about to see my nasty pre-Pedispin foot. Take comfort in the fact it will never look that bad again. Thanks, Pedispin. You really helped me our.

This is a great product and works great for me! The bad reviews are clearly from people who did not read or did not follow the directions properly! You do NOT press this against whatever you want to smooth--you barely touch it against the area you want to smooth, and it works so well that it can actually get quite hot from the friction generated by how fast it spins and works. Used correctly, this is highly effective at smoothing rough skin or calloused spots. If you have extremely thick, deep, and heavily calloused heels or something from never having done any grooming before, and very little patience besides, perhaps you'd do better with some type of grinding tool with a very coarse grinding surface to begin with, in order to quickly speed the process along, but this product works fine too if used as directed, and is truly excellent for routine maintenance. In fact, it's about the best thing I've found for quickly performing routine maintenance. I've already purchased 2 and am thinking of purchasing a few more, just in case it should ever be changed or discontinued, because I know it would be difficult, if not impossible, to find an alternative that would be as effective as this product.

I used the PediSpin to remove dry skin off my feet. The finishing pad made my feet soft and smooth. It is better than spending money for a pedicure.
