Yes there is a simple learning curve to use it but it's simple, maybe ppl think you just put it near your hair and that's it? I use the lowest cutter on my head and the bare blade to cut face stubble... I couldn't be without it and i that's why i recently purchased the new version

Overall a fairly decent set of self-clippers. I had to buy these as a repacement to the previous generation of Babylis clippers after they came apart at the seams (literally). If you take your time and do multiple passes back and forth these clippers take off a good bit of hair to the lenght of comb you have selected. The only area they seem to fail to cut (certainly on my head at least), is at the back of the head on the neckline. No matter how hard I try I always end up needing the wife to trim back the straggly bits in that area. Other than that these seem to do what they are designed for.
