Amazing Air Shark-Updated Version

The coolest gadget that brings everyone together for laughs! Simply fill this Flying Fish with helium and use the infra-red remote control to guide this giant fish to swim around in the air! It will swim through the air with significantly smooth and life-like motion. Great for parties or pranks!

Features

  • Moves up, down, full 360 degrees up to 40 feet away.

  • Made from durable nylon and simply bounces off of walls and other items it bumps into. Doesn’t break!

  • Because of transportation safety, you need to buy helium locally. which you can refill over and over again. Balloons stay inflated for up to two weeks. Requires 4 AAA batteries.

  • Measures 57 inches long and 36 inches tall.

  • Great fun for the office, family get-togethers, kids indoor parties

  • Available in Shark and Clownfish

We bought 4 of these sharks for the office, and first of all, let me say that virtually everybody’s first reaction upon seeing it is to yell out a four-letter word! Wow, it really flies! You move forward by flapping the tailback and forth. You steer by flapping more left or more right. You climb and dive with a separate button that tips the shark up or down. With a bit of practice, you can steer wherever you want. Unlike many flying toys, this one really works.”-Steven Aiko

Was a litte wary about this product after readings the reviews, but decided to take a chance on it. Glad I did. Shark swims through the air with a scarily real motion and is fun to pilot. It took us about 20-25 minutes to assemble and it went together pretty well. Sharky has been knocked around and bounced off walls with abandon and has yet to damage any of the fins or the remote unit. I did have an issue with some of the tape provided that holds the fins on coming off after a couple of weeks, but we patched it up using some clear packaging tape and it seems to be holding okay. Mylar balloon does need to be topped off regularly and your fish will look a little saggy if he experiences extreme temperature changes. We store ours teathered in a spare room when not in use and try to keep it from getting too hot/cold to keep the helium from expanding and contracting.

It takes about 2 minutes to get the hang of flying this thing. Once you get the right rhythm for moving the tail, you can do some pretty cool stuff. Up and down control is done via the ballast weight moving forwards and backwards along a track - you basically just point the shark up or down and "swim" in that direction. Turning is much the same, you just swish the tail more to one side than the other and it turns on a dime. ProTip: turn off your ceiling fans prior to flight.....

This product is soooo much fun once you get the hang of the remote and a rhythm. This is a genuine William Mark product, the marking/stamp is located at the rear of the air swimmer. Very sturdy and great response to the remote. Stays inflated for about 2wks then needs to be topped off. We enjoy using this Air Swimmer its so relaxing and calming sort of like when you go fishing and don't catch a thing it was still worth the break! By the way.. All Adults here!! And we fight over whos going to fly it next. This ones mine I think its time to invest in another one so he can have his own.

My niece loves sharks and although it is a project on its own and a mission to get the right helium in which I had no idea there was two kinds. It was little bit hard to put him together because the instructions are some what vague in some parts. But over all it flies awesome. And I give it a 5 only because it did meet my lil nieces expectation.

I bought both the Shark & Nemo. Both arrived as scheduled in excellent condition. the hardest part was finding a local source of helium at a reasonable price. Assembly is best done with two people since handling the helium filled balloon and applying the various parts is a little tricky for one person. Both were a great hit at a joint Mothers Day / Birthday family party. Product works as described. Quite realistic - actually the shark initially frightened my 2 year old granddaughter but she quickly overcame that and wanted to control it. Now some weeks later both are still floating around my house - only requiring an adjustment o the ballast or a little shot of helium. One of the rubber bands broke - Contacted Air Swimmer and they sent replacements free of charge - didn't even request postage.

Bought "Jaws" for a friend (who is a kid at heart) for Christmas and it was the hit of the night. Drove both toddlers and dogs crazy and adults had great fun with it. Although it is easy to maneuver once assembled, it seemed rather involved to put together, but maybe that's because the assemblers had a wine or two under their belts at the time; all I did was supervise from the couch! Jaws is larger than I expected which was fine, but it would not fare well in a small room. And probably not around ceiling fans. Seems to be fairly well built but time will tell. It now has to survive a New Year's Eve party. One odd thing about it - the motor makes a slight noise when activated so it sounds like the shark is softly growling. Not a negative at all, just funny!

Almost didn't buy this because the reviews were so hit and miss but man, I'm glad I did. This was the life of the party on Christmas. It took like an hour to put it together, so yeah, that sucked. But all the parts were there and everything worked. It's maybe the coolest thing ever. The kids fought over it all day and then we took it to Christmas at a friend's house and all the kids over there fought over who got to fly it. It's a blast. And you can't beat the price either. You'll have to have helium for it so plan accordingly.

Apparently there’s a helium shortage? Party city and a few other places wouldn’t fill it up for me because of a helium shortage. I even offered to buy a balloon from party city and then fill this one up instead and they declined (I’m betting a couple people out there might do it if you’re lucky?). Looked cool and will use it when there’s more helium I suppose.
