I am new to woodworking and it’s been pretty easy to use. I like that it is self explanatory to use and while it mentions it’s for cabinet hinges, it also has so many other uses like keeping your screws hidden.

This kit includes everything! Delighted to see it includes mini clamps and everything you need. Worked amazingly for my bathroom cabinets. The only negative is that the “how to” instructions are only on the box. But fortunately my husband is savvy with things like that.

This jig worked well for me once I removed the black adjuster pieces. The clamps held it down well while the bit removed the wood. I needed to adjust the collar once to get the depth correct for the slow close hardware I bought. Some parts fit on the back of the jig so you won’t lose them.

Recently used this to add some hinges to a cabinet I made and a fishtank stand with a open compartment at the base. I needed to adjust the jig myself as the parts that came with it didn’t work properly how I wanted it but it was simple to use and worked great once I made a small modification to it. Great value for the price

Very well made and worked great! The boring bit is surprisingly high quality and cuts perfect mounting holes at the right depth you set. Would advise putting grease or a lubricant in the bore guide before using it. I used some paste wax. Be sure and order the right hinges for the offset of your door. This jig doesn't allow you to set the mount cup you bore very far away from the edge of the door. I've never used one of these so I have a lot to learn. A must to set flush door hinges the right way though.

Makes drilling for soft close style hinges easy. I’d recommend using a bit of grease or oil on the bearing surface that comes into contact with the 35mm Forstner drill bit, as over time, the plastic bearing surface is likely to wear out, making the jig less accurate. The holes provided for the attachment screws are slightly off, so after the 35mm hole is drilled, I’d use a centering drill bit for the screw holes, using the actual hinge as a template. For screws, I’d recommend using stainless steel screws, as the zinc-plated screws that come with the set are weaker than stainless. I twisted off two of the screws when tightening them, and had to get a special pliers to remove them and patch with wood epoxy and re-drill the holes.

My wife and I are in the process of buying her parents' house, and we decided to paint the kitchen cabinets to freshen up the space. Since we were going to have the cabinet doors off, we also decided to replace the old standard hinges with Euro-Style, soft-close hinges. I soon learned that this would require boring a hole in the back of the door a certain distance from the edge, and the project got a lot more complicated.

I'm glad this came up as recommended when I was shopping for the hinges here. I can't even imagine how much time and frustration this unit saved me. Works exactly as advertised, and has a few different settings for different situations. I'm not sure if it's a one-size-fits-all solution, so make sure you know it will work in your situation. If so, you won't be sorry you bought it.

I just finished a project of making 21 Shaker style kitchen cabinet doors with concealed hinges, and I used this Kreg jig for all of them. Using this jig allowed me to get a precise cut and line all the hinges up perfectly. Including some test pieces, I cut 46 pockets in 3/4" MDF. The blades on the cutter were still sharp after the last one, so it seems pretty durable. The jig is very easy to use, just make sure you follow the directions. This jig will cut a 5/8" deep hole. A little tip I picked up after a few pockets were made: hold a hose to a shop vacuum next to one of the holes in the top section of the jig. The cutter will make a huge mess and you won't be able to see what you're doing.
